Happy AUCTION Friday
families,
And another month is coming to an end. I hope that I see most of you tonight at
the auction. There are some really great things to bid on this year. I'm very
proud of the items that your children made this year and I am hoping that there
will be a good bidding war over them!
We had a great week this week and I want to give a big thank you to everyone
who came with us on the field trip yesterday! We went to see
Rumpelstiltskin...Recycled, it is a play off of the original Rumpelstiltskin
story. In the kingdom of Waste-a-lot they have run out of paper and are looking
for someone to spin straw into paper. Environ Mental volunteer's for the
task only to find out that she has no idea what she is doing! Rumpelstiltskin
makes his appearance and does the job for her. In the end the kingdom learns
about recycling and everyone lives happily ever after. The children really
enjoyed the play and are looking froward to going on more field trips.
We had a good share day today and even got to have a taste of kiwi! Next week
we do not have a s.o.w since there is no school on Friday.
Some of the children went on a nature walk today with Mrs. Maria and saw many exciting
things. I took a different group of children out for a leaf hunt and we learned
about some of the many shapes of leaves. We will be going out several more
times this spring looking at leaves, flowers and plants and learning all of
their parts and their functions.
We said good-bye to the baby chicks yesterday and hope that they have happy
chicken lives!
We are on out last Magic Tree House book for awhile. We are in the middle of
book 17, Hour of the Olympics and I hope that you will continue to read the
stories to your child. There are 48 books as of right now to keep you and your
child busy! I haven't decided what we will be reading next but it just feels
like it is time to switch it up!
I think that's all I have for today, short and sweet! Have a great
weekend.
